Wincanton Golf Course.

Golfing at Wincanton is also available and provides a testing challenge for both beginners and advanced golfers.

The length of the course gives plenty of opportunity to open the shoulders, with the extra tees making interesting back nine holes from different angles to attack the pins. The finishing holes are overlooked by the racecourse grandstands with a challenging Par 3 18th to finish. The approach shots are demanding with the peril of the enormous hidden dangers guarding the greens. With the large undulating greens renowned for their speed and quality, just reaching the greens is not enough to allow the golfer to relax until the putt is dropped.

Wincanton Racecourse is situated on the B3081 between Wincanton and Bruton. The B3081 is just off the A303 which is the arterial route between London and the Southwest. It is 37 miles south of Bristol and 38 miles north of Bournemouth.
